Carole Kismaric
This interactive biography tracks the life and career of influential editor / curator Carole Kismaric (carolekismaric.com). Carole is known for her work as editor of the Time Life Photography series, as well as Aperture monographs including Lisette Model, Robert Adams, Duane Michaels and the seminal "Telex Iran" by Magnum photographer Gilles Peress. In partnership with Marvin Heiferman, she created Growing up with Dick and Jane, Talking Pictures, and the FAME: After Photography exhibition at MoMA.
The site is an interactive documentary: It allows users to explore relevant photographs and publications at full resolution while watching video interviews of photographers Carol worked with. The site has since become key resource for art historians and teachers around the world. It earned a "Webby Worthy" and was in the AIGA 50.
