About me....

I'm a creative systems guy with 15 years experience - think technology + communications + product development. A lot of my work has been developing content and experiences for digital marketing / advertising.

I'm currently Senior Partner and Global Director of Digital Platforms at Ogilvy. I work on IBM as the lead for digital products, applications, and other similar experiences across the Smarter Planet initiative.

Elsewhere in life, I'm chair of the digital advisory group for the Forum on Migration and Communications Studies (FOMACS), a creative and cultural industries hub with a commitment to researching migration and producing media in the service of social justice. I'm also the digital advisor for the Cultural Studies and Social Documentary Practice - a new PHD program led by FOMACS and the Centre for Transcultural Research and Media Practice at the Dublin Institute of Technology (ctmp.ie).

Previously....

Previously, I was Executive Director of Creative Development at TBWA Digital Arts - a global creative and strategy group in the TBWA network. We developed big thinking for digital experiences and social media programs. Our group worked on Nissan (Zero Emissions), GSK, Pepsi (Refresh Everything) and Visa Mobile.

Before TBWA I was Co-Founder and Creative Director of a boutique content agency called Local Theory - we developed interesting content / social / mobile campaigns and digital strategy for Nokia, National Geographic, Fremantle Media and others.

Before Local Theory I was President of Counts Media - we developed the mobile+online community called Yellow Arrow along with mobile products for Lonely Planet and Blue Man Group.

...and before that I worked for Ammirati Puris Lintas, Uproar.com, CKS|Partners and others.

I'm also a photographer specializing in trashy teen vampire book covers (Simon & Schuster, Penguin, Random House, Surface Magazine, etc) - my photography is distributed by Corbis and Getty Images.
